On the other side of the bend is a car park for lorries. From time to time, drivers pass me, go through the passage in the old crash barriers, cross the slip road from the A115 and enter the service area. I get cold and go in there too. 2 The dining room is on the ground floor of the round part of the building. At the next table are glasses and cups belonging to a couple who leave shortly after I arrive. Now I’m the only guest in the room. The tables are decorated with collages of newspaper articles about car racing.
