I can recommend #StrongBox password manager for people using #Apple ecosystem. They're doing password manager right. Here are some of my personal reasons for liking this software a lot:
- Flexible sharing: Any amount of containers, in any mix (local or cloud). Includes built-in StrongBox Sync, but also has direct integrations to OneDrive, Dropbox and Google Drive. Since you can place the container in any filesystem location you can use whichever cloud solution you prefer (I use my personal #Nextcloud instance). The application can be used completely offline if needed.
- Flexible security: Each container can have their customized security options so for example you can keep your really important work stuff protected with YubiKey, longer passcodes or similar. Convenience unlock via biometrics or pincode or both biometric *and* pincode. Desktop and mobile can use different methods to convenience unlock. Convenience unlock timeout is configurable.
- Support for flexible Duress PIN methods: Either present a fake (fully configurable) password vault, or wipe the vault if duress PIN is entered.
- No vendor lock-in since the database effectively is #Keepass4 compatible and can be managed with any Keepass compatible app. I use #KeepassXC to access the containers on other non-apple platforms.
- Good import support from inferior software such as #1password.
- Option for lifetime license instead of being leeched monthly fees.

I mean its a good step in the right direction. But I think I will stay with #Strongbox aka simple #Keepass files.
Telegram Combolists
Kurze aber wichtige Durchsage: #Telegram wurde letztens gehackt, (Telegram #Combolists) dabei sind 361,468,099 #Passwörter usw. erbeutet worden. Bitte ändert das #Passwort (Menü/Privatsphäre und Sicherheit/zweistufige Bestätigung und dort auf zusätzliches Passwort erstellen). Am besten per #Keepass(XC), #KeePassDX (Android) oder #Keepass2Android oder bei #IOS #KeePassium, #Strongbox oder ähnlichem Passwortsafe ein sicheres Passwort erstellen und dort einsetzen. Speichern in Keepass* nicht vergessen!
Darüber hinaus ist es eine gute Idee, bei https://haveibeenpwned.com nach eigenen Daten (Mail, Telefonnummern etc.), die in #Hacks auftauchen nachzuschauen und sich auch bei Neuentdeckungen benachrichtigen zu lassen.
Das Telegram seine Benutzer nicht aktiv per Systemnachricht über das Sicherheitsleck informiert hat, ist dann auch nochmal ein ganz anderes Thema...

Teraz na #iOS i #macOS używam #Strongbox i póki co to najlepiej zintegrowany klient z bazami keepass jakiego widziałem. Wart swojej ceny.
Główna zaleta to najmniejszy rozpraszacz - twarz czy palec wystarczają aby uzupełnić automatycznie w dowolnym miejscu. Przyjazne jeśli ma się zaburzenia koncentracji.
Obsługuje też agenta kluczy do SSH i TOTP.
Yesterday, my #KeePassXC file would not open using either the #OpenBSD desktop client or the #Strongbox iOS app. The obscur error message vaguely pointed at "corrupted file structure". I had to browse the #rsnapshot backup repository up to daily.3 to get a proper file and restore access to my credentials.

It's another example into why you should only rely on offline solutions when picking a password manager, such as #KeePass #KeePassXC #KeepassDX and/or #Strongbox

@0xtdec I'm prototyping #KeePassXC for desktops, #StrongBox for iOS, shared vault on #NextCloud. I'll need to see what happens when I try to import the data from #1Password however.
Or I will just just use a #keepass vault shared via iCloud Drive or #nextcloud and accessed via #Strongbox

Czy ktoś może mi polecić jakąś apkę do #KeePass na iPhone? Tylko bez abonamentu, błagam.
#Strongbox jest fajny, ale wpisywanie hasła za każdym razem jest strasznie denerwujące, a opłata to 100zł/rok lub 400 jednorazowo (gruba przesada)
