After a few weeks of not really being able to draw much at all, I went back to basics and drew myself a new witch.

Nothing too adventurous with the pose, and as usual I'm not totally convinced by the colour scheme, but...

What do people think?

Just some quick behind-the-scene design researches for my next leather pins (I have lots of ideas) and I'm so happy of my bookworm witch and my mammoth (my take on the mastodon mascot) ! What would you name them ?

I proudly present my most ambitious drawing to date: THE COVEN.

#Onthisday in 1765, the last “witch” was burnt in #Somerset.

Mary Norwood, living in Axbridge, was accused of killing her husband with witchy poison.

On 8th May in Ilchester, she prayed and sang a hymn – amazing she could find any voice at such a time. Then, she was garrotted and her dead body was burnt to ashes.

People believed that by burning her body she wouldn’t come back as a ghost!

My talk on haruspicy (when it comes to picking signal out of the guts of vuln scoring systems) was accepted at #BHUSA. Which is pretty neat. But I want to fill out the liver divination part just a little more. :)
