The fight against office bondage seems to be gaining strength.

The focus has turned to the story of Denise Prudhomme, an employee at Wells Fargo, who tragically died at her workplace in the company office and her body went unnoticed for four days. Although the bank insisted on the importance of "in-person communication" in the offices, her death highlighted the selective and intrusive nature of the surveillance to which employees are subjected. Prudhomme was required to clock in and out of the office using a pass, but no one checked on her condition even though she had not left the office for several days. It became clear that digital surveillance served more as a tool of pressure and intimidation rather than a necessary work instrument.
The technical details of surveillance are amusing. I never guessed that an employee's efficiency could be measured by the distance traveled by their mouse cursor. It turns out, it can be done this way too.
