Meanwhile, the Tulkarem and Nour Shams Camp Committee has told Al Jazeera that the Israeli army has displaced more than 20,000 residents of the camps and completely demolished more than 60 homes in them. More than 530 homes and public facilities have been partially destroyed in the two camps. Nothing resembles the reality of October 6 anymore, even though the West Bank had no part whatsoever in the October 7 attack. On October 8, three million Palestinians woke up to a new reality, not that the previous one was humane or legitimate. With a thirst for revenge and exploitation of opportunities, the Israeli boot tightened its grip on the West Bank's neck without mercy.[…] Tens of thousands of dunams were expropriated, robbed and plundered in these months and there's hardly a hill left in the West Bank without an Israeli flag or an outpost that will one day become a city. The checkpoints have also returned in full force, you can't move from place to place in the West Bank without encountering them and standing for hours in humiliation. You can't plan anything, in a reality where at least 150,000 people have lost their livelihood, after work in Israel was completely banned. abolitionmediaAt 01:30 AM, the IOF launched a large-scale invasion of the northern West Bank with thousands of soldiers, responded to in a battle that Saraya Al-Quds has named The Horror of the Camps (while groups of Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades have named it the Wrath of the Free). This invasion is the largest since 2002, surpassing the large, multi-day invasions that Jenin and Tulkarem have witnessed in the past year. Its focus is on Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas, yet all of the West Bank is experiencing the aggression.Alongside the IOF, four brigades of the Border Police are participating in the operation, as well as the Shin Bet and undercover units, with extensive deployment of helicopters and drones.Hospitals have been besieged and bulldozers are destroying infrastructure significantly.
