Bei immerhin noch ca. einem Drittel der Verkehrsleistung. Railmaps<p>Today's historic photo of the day: I'm a day late to this party, but yesterday was 50 years since Melbourne's first Z class <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/tram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>tram</span></a> entered service on May 5 1975. To celebrate, here's a photo of Z1 no 79 in original orange livery with trolley poles, flip-over indicators and conductor's console on a Footscray-bound route 82 on reserved track in Maribyrnong, Vic, December 31, 1985.</p><p>It was incorrectly showing route 81, a common problem with the original flip over indicators. Missed it by that much.</p>
Atemu<p>In <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.notjustbikes.com/@notjustbikes" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>notjustbikes</span></a></span>'s new video he mentioned how trams last a lot longer than busses do which prompted me to think.</p><p>In <a href="https://darmstadt.social/tags/Darmstadt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Darmstadt</span></a>, we still have a decent amount of <a href="https://darmstadt.social/tags/ST12" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ST12</span></a> trams from *1990* in regular operation.<br>They're missing some features of the newer models, sure, but they're not *that* far behind either. This Is My Glasgow<p>A stone tramway leading up Cleveden Crescent Lane in the west of Glasgow. Consisting of slabs of smoothed granite, they reduced the friction between cartwheels and cobbled streets, while the setts in between the tramways provided grip for the horses' hooves.
