Finally finished #ThePitt. All around one of the best seasons of TV I’ve watched in years. A superbly written, acted, paced and produced medical drama. And despite the entire season taking place across one 12 hour ER shift, more character development happened here than on most multi-year shows.

It can be quite realistic and gory but if you can learn to look away when that stuff bothers you it’s well, WELL worth your time. Kudos to Noah Wiley & everyone who made it, I can’t wait for season 2.

No seriously, if you’ve not watched #ThePitt yet put it on your watchlist. Some of the best TV I’ve experienced in years. One hell if a good show, I hope it wins all the Emmy’s cause it deserves it. I’m only on ep 8 but damn… so good. Dr. King is my spirit animal.

Coming up on ep 7 of #ThePitt & this show continues to impress. Limited setting, frenetic pace, incredible human drama but also sincerely funny moments too. It’s just well written, produced and acted all the way around. The interns in particular are very good.

I’m also enjoying my first medical drama in decades and seeing how diagnosis, technology and treatments have changed since last I took in this kind of stuff. Kinda cool.

Kudos to Noah Wiley too, he grounds and humanizes the whole show.

Sometimes the internet ads that are directly on target also annoy me.

I know “The Pitt” is good! We watched ALL of it already! We can’t wait for them to make a second season! I miss my fictional doctor-friends*! Stop telling me that it’s cool and I should check it out!

*Dr. King is my best The Pitt friend and I miss her most.

I was going to watch the next ep of #ThePitt but as stressful as this day has been I think I may retreat into some #StarTrek instead.

Pick what series I should watch:

"The Pitt" — a critically acclaimed medical drama starring Noah Wyle, but not that one — finished its 15-episode first season last week. Pop Heist's Matthew Jackson unpacks its appeal. "This is, arguably more than any other streaming series out there right now, a show that thrives on the classic serialized TV model — and it works so well that every other TV creator out there should sit up and take note," he writes.
