Otwarte ŹródłoDziękuję wszystkim uczestnikom zagadki! 💚 Oto rozwiązanie zagadki 🌱 📣 - wersja długa, z wyjaśnieniem: Zazwyczaj orkę robi się wzdłuż pola - tak jest najłatwiej (bo wykonuje się mniej nawrotów pługiem). Ale gdy występuje duże nachylenie terenu orka wzdłuż pola przyśpiesza spływ wody z pola po deszczu, co nie tylko utrudnia retencję wody (ważną dla zapewnienia zapasu wody na czas suszy), ale też niszczy strukturę gruzełkowatą gleby. W trakcie ulewy woda płynie strumieniami, a po zakończeniu deszczu widać wyraźnie ślady po szybko spływającej wodzie. Aby temu zaradzić można zaorać pole wzdłuż warstwic - innymi słowy prostopadle do spadku terenu - wtedy w przypadku ulewnego deszczu (a na wiosnę również w przypadku spływu wody z topniejącego śniegu) woda o wiele wolniej spływa w dół, a więc nie niszczy powierzchni gleby i na dłużej zostaje w ziemi. Tak właśnie było w przypadku pola uwiecznionego na naszym zdjęciu. Pole zostało zaorane skośnie do granic działki, bo tak akurat przebiega spadek terenu na polu. Do tego posta dodajemy krótki cytat z podręcznika pt. "Ziemia, która żywi. Kurs rolnictwa ekologicznego" (link do podręcznika: <a href="http://ziarno.grzybow.pl/images/publikacje/projektowe/Ziemia_ktora_zywi.pdf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no">http://ziarno.grzybow.pl/images/publikacje/projektowe/Ziemia_ktora_zywi.pdf</a>), strona 59. Dla zainteresowanych: rozwinięciem koncepcji uprawy roli wzdłuż warstwic jest popularna w permakulturze koncepcja wałów konturowych (ang. swale).
