I had to move my car before the Instacart driver got here.
Summer was not amused and watched me the whole time.
Next time, I will take her along for the, less than a minute, drive.
I tried to tell her that she really didn't want to get in the hot car, but I still got the look.
How lucky I am that she loves me so much.

My husband commented that we are a pair to draw to.
I wouldn't bet on either of us to get past whatever is making us sick any time soon.
We are managing, though as he feels stronger, in the morning, and I am the opposite. I cough all night, instead of sleeping, and wake up with no voice.
I do believe this is the sickest I been in twenty years.
Summer is doing her best, but is spread rather thin.
I asked her to take care of her pal while I went back to bed.
She says she's got this.

For a very brief moment each year Kyūtei Omuro (旧邸御室), an old villa close to Ninna-ji, is open to the public.

It is famed for a table!

Summer stands sentinel on the stairs. Her pal has gone up to take a nap. Anyone that would disturb him will have to go through her.
She is serious when it comes to taking care of her favorite human.
Pretty soon she will decide it's safe enough to go curl up next to him and nap facing the door.

These two are pretty sneaky.
I am usually awake and getting ready for our day by 6 am. This morning I must have been extra tired because Summer and her pal tip toed down the stairs, in stealth mode, and I kept sleeping, and sleeping, and sleeping. Who knew they could be so quiet?
I didn't wake up until after 8 am.
This is a rare happening.
I must have needed the rest.
They are all proud of their dubious accomplishment.
I feel rested though, and my husband says he feels even better than yesterday.
Now I'd better get busy.
