For this week's Creative Code challenge by @sableraph : “ Only Lines ”, LinesUponLines uses Line Based equations/functions in #SonicPi & #LiveCodelab.
The Point to Plane and Line to Plane equations in the SonicPi Code were previously used in #Genuary2024, where these #linearalgebra components were used to create the sound.
While the LiveCodeLab sketch contains various collages of the same piece of code.

Lines itching to creep
Lines willing to weep
Lines embracing a leak

#WCCC #wccchallenge #Livecoding #CreativeCoding #pressure
For this week's Creative Code challenge by @sableraph : “ Pressure ”, PlanetaryPressureCycles takes #LiveCodeLab, #SonicPi & #Hydravideosynth code to mimic the cycles of weather pressure. Where High Pressure tends to lead to clearer skies and less wind while lower pressure leads to cloudy/stormier outcomes. The possible cycles in this planetary system are showcased in this sketch.
Pressure roams both fast and slow
It externalizing its will
As it decides to fill
Energetic traits when it is low
Stormy intents tend to spill
Winds tends to follow
Clouds are no longer shallow

#WCCC #wccchallenge #Livecoding #CreativeCoding #erosion
For this week's Creative Code challenge by @sableraph : “ Erosion”,
PoeticErosion takes previous #p5js and erodes it through #Hydravideosynth. PoeticErosion takes these chromatic poems as a data format because “ data erosion, a phenomenon also known as data decay, is the gradual decrease in the accuracy and usefulness of data” - 6sense.
The poems that were once clearer(seen on the left side) are now harder to distinguish. #SonicPi was used for the sound with various audio erosion effects added.

The prompt for #Genuary2025 Day 11 is ” #Impossible”
Hydrain3d is coded in #Hydravideosynth and is used for the impossible prompt as it explores the concept of trying to turn some of my 2d sketches into 3d objects. In this test run, we turn a sketch into 4 objects.

GlitchyScrollMaps uses Hydra to remix ScrollMaps: https://blog.illestpreacha.com/genuary2025scrollmaps
It takes inspiration from pixel sort algorithms to add glitchyness through Hydra ( Orignally Coded in #Python, #Hydravideosynth & #SonicPi)

@h0b0 That’s cool… I just posted some #SonicPi code that plays basic drums, bass, chords, and lead with a blues structure, but it’s parameterized and could play all sorts of structures. https://in-thread.sonic-pi.net/t/blues-band-with-swinging-drums-bass-and-piano-my-first-creation/9441
I did something with #sonicpi and I think it is worth sharing. https://blog.heimpogo.de/2025/01/breakbeat-drummer
Oh my! That was an amazing @FieldFX #ByteJam this evening!
Some excellent visuals, but biggest hat-tip to a brilliant cinematic electrosynth set from @samaaron, which you should *definitely* check out (https://www.scenesat.com/videoarchive/2ad71dbc-d207-11ef-be28-00505685775e#show-2ad71dbc-d207-11ef-be28-00505685775e)
Pretty happy with where I got to. It's the audio FFT, mapped onto a 3D-projected snakey thing, with a periodic parameter shuffle. Even got a palette-map poke in there.

18 Words Speaking
#Worldbuilding #Poetry #DataViz
For More Information: https://colorscape.illestpreacha.com/poetic-communication-visualization
18 Words Speaking is a collection of poems that act as a chromatic visualisation of poems written in various formats that follow the main rule of having just 18 words
Coded environments used in these images : #SonicPi #Python #P5js
The Visualization Follows the Following Rules :
- Each Word is represented by how many characters are within
- With representation through one of the 26 colors that starts with the same letter as the word
- Different Directions may occur but follow the same visualization rules.
- The direction and placements explores our relationship with not only color and words but also how spacing, direction and angles can also affect our we perceive information(in this case words)

For this week's Creative Code challenge by @sableraph " #Winter ”, WinterSnowMenGlitch is coded with #Locomotion (For the #Snowman), #Python (The blue background to represent the ice element of winter) and #SonicPi (For an Audio representation of a windy wintery day).
Snowmen are waiting for winter
But even with this wait
They get prepared with their shivers
WIth care, their movements
With that brisk air
About to be frigid
Frigid is their preferred climate
As the air is aware
For it’s process is rigid
As the snowmen await
For what is their fit
As their movements and climate
As they Begin their Intersection

#worldbuilding #scifiart #geometry #wccchallenge #WCCC #LiveCoding
For this week's Creative Code challenge by @sableraph " #Chromatic ”, ChromaticSpells&Tales is designed by having the animation be told through chromatic elements. What are the colors trying to say? And how are they trying to move?
Coded with #SonicPi, #LiveCodeLab & #Python
Designing with Chromatics
It does this by using Python(For the Chromatic Squares and to get the Grid for the Chromatic Poetry)
using SonicPi to sonify the variables within the color Peach Cobbler from The DipinCode series and then using various tempos to represent the different ways, one can eat this color.
LiveCodeLab is used for extra colors and shapes
