sohkamyung<p>An exciting encounter with the King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve on 18 May 2025. It was moving along the walking path, probably hunting. One person was making sure we all gave the Cobra enough personal space.</p><p>On iNaturalist [ <a href="https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/282000147" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">inaturalist.org/observations/2</span><span class="invisible">82000147</span></a> ].</p><p><a href="https://photog.social/tags/iNaturalist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>iNaturalist</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Nature" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Nature</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Photography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Photography</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Singapore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Singapore</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Reptiles" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Reptiles</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Reptilia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Reptilia</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Snakes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Snakes</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Serpentes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Serpentes</span></a></p>

Dan McCulloughFirst Northern Watersnake of the Year! My delivery of firewood for next winter is delayed so the watersnakes will need to find alternative housing until I can build their “condos.” 😅 In the meantime, I made a pile of leftover wood to see if they might go for it. It didn’t take long. Not exactly the summer residence it was counting on.
