Barfußlauf nach Wiesloch und zurück. Nun bereit für Schreibtisch #running #barefootrunning
Morning commute run | Home > School > Work
Very tough running with the MacBook and change clothes and shoes . First dropped off my smallest in school - then proceeded to LEGO Campus to work.
A (very) short morning run, in a different setting than as I am used to. Temperaturen 26°C, humidity 94%.
To run next to hundreds of cars passing you is not really my thing.
(Sehr) Kurzer Morgenlauf in etwas anderer Umgebung als sonst. Temperatur 26°C, Luftfeuchtigkeit 94%.
Laufen mit hunderten von Auto daneben liegt mir nicht so.
How did you master forward lean while #running? I try focusing on it, I see its effect, but have problem with incorporating it as an instinctive part of my running form, it goes aways whenever I'm not focused on leaning forward. Any exercise you would recommend?
Bestseller Aarhus City Half 2025
Half marathon. I followed the 1:29 pacers for as long as I had power to today; some ~13K ish. Then I had to drop pace a bit to complete it without crashing
Felt ok throughout (but I was working hard, effort wise). Unbeaten crowd support. No wind. Warm weather. Splash zones
from the crowd.
I placed 765 of 11624 . Official time: 1:30:37. Strava 2nd PBs: 15K,10M. Half: 1:29:50.
Experience: amazing
Filter fail:
Look, of course this is my fault. I should have tested the filter before we started our 20 mile run.
That said, at least I had the presence of mind to refill a bottle before we drank all our water.
Point being: there was no throughput. I had a flask full of cool, dirty creek water but only intermittent drips came through.
So, two questions: is this a common problem with a DIY solution?
OR
What filter system do you pack for long runs / hikes?
No idea how y'all handle the I can't think about going faster right now
Happy Sunday y'all ️

With slow pace and a lot of breaks I somehow managed to complete my first proper ultra race in a bit over 19 hours.
There's some more pics on Strava:

Thank you for all the supporting messages here before the race! <3
Mein Plan, die Muskelschmerzen im Hüftbereich durch einen lockeren Lauf zu bekämpfen, ist übrigens aufgegangen. #barefootrunning #running
Nach-Gewitter Barfußlauf. #barefootrunning #running
Hidden super power: can have breakfast any time of the day. On a train to #CPH weather seems to be really nice, maybe a bit too warm for my taste but we’ll see. Have both a shirt and tank top with me. Won’t be a day for a PB anyway with so many people. Just enjoy.
Fantastic turnout today No Kings March, Palm Beach Gardens. Probably 2000 people or so both sides of busy highway, very inspiring in the brutal 32.5C heat/high RH. Only 2 MAGAt problems, big black oversized trucks w big wheels (always trouble, those) speeding past, yelling, flipping off. If police weren't there, they may well have run into the crowd. My 89 yr. old father, USMC vet was with . Carlin Park in Jupiter run this morn., before, so taxing for me. #nokings #florida #running #birds

Last run in #italy for this year, maybe I‘ll be #Running here again in July of 2026, there might be a gig with the blues band… Today, I started out early, and it was already 21+ degrees C, so I could feel myself *melting* during the run. And yet, I had my fun, but I‘m looking forward to running at home. I‘m already back in Germany while typing this, my wife is driving, I‘m idling around next to her. That’s life! #applewatchultra2 #lagomaggiore
Look at the pace… I took lap splits at the timing and cut off points. There were not a lot of minutes to spare today.
But in the end it worked out and the main goal was to not die and finish. The time then doesn’t really matter. And seldom you get an elevation chart as this one.
Cool T-shirt also. In the right SE colors.
Made it through the Niesen Treppenlauf. Survived. This was tough. Harder than expected. The cut off daemons were also close by for the first one. In the end I made it to finish. Glad I signed up for it. Man, this was sooo steep and parts up to 68%.
Thanks to all for the cheering here and thanks to @bergmeister for the live commentary.
