New post-doctoral research position in my group at University College London (#UCL), looking at the use of **optimization for the design of dynamic and flexible processes for electronic waste**, in collaboration with researchers in multi-phase and micro-channel flow experiments for process intensification and in model identification for the development of dynamic models. The eventual deliverable of this project is a demonstrator process with a digital twin. External collaboration includes both industry and two local councils, Newham Council in London and West Sussex County Council.

Headed to bed. Turned off the main house breaker to avoid all the terrible surges and brownouts which occur when they try to bring the grid back up and everything all tries to draw current at the same time. I strongly suggest that if you are in the Puget Sound region you do the same to avoid damaging your equipment.

Tjoaa, aus verschiedenen hierzufaden genannten Gründen wurde das #Quadrophonie-#Surround-Live-Setup dann doch einfacher und auch komplizierter… ein #AllenHeath #SQ5 Mischpult ist nämlich eigentlich zu unflexibel, um den #Reverb we gewohnt zu routen.

Letztendlich wurden es zwei #Convolution / #IR Reverbs mit den #Bricasti #M7 #Impulsantworten. Und noch eine Engine mehr für den „normalen Front-Mix”. Das muss dann mittels Kanälen, Bussen, Gruppen und Matrixen zusammengerührt und auf 4x2 Boxen verteilt werden.

Und dann noch 8 Kanäle #Waves #PSE vorhalten, wegen Drum Bleed.

Krankheitsbedingt eine späte und knappe Vorbereitung, und jetzt die Cases in die Transportmittel schubsen und los… Einlass ist in 8 Stunden, das ist die Zeit, die nun noch bleibt.

Ostatnie akcje z wyłączaniem przez PSE fotowoltaiki, pokazują tylko jak my się bierzemy za transformację od dupy strony. Efekt? "Zielona" energia „wyparowuje” w kosmos. Przypomina mi to sytuację w niemieckiej, pobliskiej elektrowni Tam na święta wyłączono z eksploatacji dwa bloki E i F, przywrócone do pracy w czasie kryzysu w 2022 roku. Cała elektrownia ma przestać pracować w 2028 roku (planowano w 2038). Jednak zdaniem burmistrz Sprembergu - Christine Herntie, ta data jest nierealna do zachowania. Jej zdaniem region nie jest na tak szybkie zamknięcie elektrowni przygotowany.
I tak sobie myślę, że skoro Niemcy nie są na to przygotowani, to jak my poradzimy sobie bez Przecież w takim razie my to już całkiem jesteśmy w czarnej nomen omen de… ?

Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne opublikowały aplikację na smartfony (android i iOS) "Energetyczny kompas". Dzięki niej mamy możliwość podglądu (well, szacunku) stanu krajowego systemu elektroenergetycznego i podejmować indywidualne decyzje dot. oszczędzania energii. Na razie niewiele w niej jest, ale zobaczymy, jak się rozwinie.

Większym problemem jest to, że mamy kolejny przykład prywatyzacji problemów niewydolnego państwa.

Vandalism at three power substations in western #Washington early Sunday cut power to about 14,000 customers

Two of the break-ins were at Tacoma Public Utilities #TPU substations and the third was at a Puget Sound #Energy station #PSE

#Tacoma Public Utilities reported vandalism at about 5:30 a.m. at one #substation followed by vandalism at a second substation

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) also reported vandalism at about 2:30 a.m. causing a power #outage at one of its substations.

"There's a good possibility they are related, we are going to be investigating to see if this was coordinated by a specific group or people, but at this time all we know is that we have burglaries where the #power was purposefully knocked out"
