Eine junge Angestellte die wir aus ihrer Ausbildung übernommen haben berichtete von ihrem gestrigen Besuch bei ihrer #Bank .
Sie hat ein wenig Geld gespart, bekam schon mal etwas von ihren verstorbenen Großeltern und wollte von ihrem Sachbearbeiter nun einen Plan haben wie man am besten Geld anlegt und spart.
Das Gespräch muss wohl informativ gewesen sein und der Mitarbeiter verabschiedete sie dann mit den Worten:
"Sie könne ja heute Abend mal mit ihrem Mann darüber reden".
Mein Vormittag war schon einigermaßen scheiße, diese Geschichte schaltete mich leider auf "Go".
Ich habe mich umgezogen und bin zu dieser Bank gefahren.
Ich bin nicht schrill wenn ich richtig sauer bin. Ich bin auch nicht "hysterisch" wenn ich richtig sauer bin. Ich plappere auch nicht wenn ich richtig sauer bin.
Ich bin ruhig aber man kann mich sehr deutlich hören.

Hot take: The Left is too "singles issue", what do I mean by this? I mean that we as leftists have the tendency to hyper focus on singular issues instead of a systemic approach to change. And I'm not saying not to pressure your politicians, I'm saying that it's important to look at the big picture, as long as we'll have the horrible system of corporate democracy we'll have to choose between terrible candidates. This year demonstrates how stupid the decision to boycott Kamala in 2024 was, not only is Trump offering to aid Israel perpetuate its massacre with direct American troop involvement but he's stating his will to invade US allies such as Canada, Greenland, Panama and he even said that Turkey should get to decide the fate of Syria, likely meaning the death of Rojava. If Trump's policies will be implemented and this isn't some elaborate bluff or one of his many lies the world will pay for the one track mind of the American Left.
Rather than buying Greenland,
Dryden Brown wondered whether he could work with the government to create a new city,
purposefully built on uninhabitable land.
“What if we can sort of build a prototype of Terminus?” he said,
referencing Elon Musk’s preferred name for a city on Mars.
A member of the Danish parliament was not amused.
“Greenlandic independence requires approval by the Danish parliament and a change of our constitution,” politician Rasmus Jarlov tweeted.
“I can guarantee you that there is no way we would approve independence so that you could buy Greenland.”
But, if building a new city in Greenland were just a question of financials,
Brown has the resources to do it
— kind of.
For the last five years, Brown,
along with co-founder Charlie Callinan,
has been at the helm of #Praxis,
a network state startup with the explicit goal of creating a city.
He emphasized Praxis as an internet-first ideology
— one that has courted controversy,
like when a Praxis member guide reportedly said that
“traditional, European/Western beauty standards on which the civilized world, at its best points, has always found success.”
Despite the controversy, the #Peter #Thiel-backed project recently raised $525 million,
with a major asterisk:
The startup has the ability to draw down the money as it hits specific milestones in its city-building project.
So for now, Praxis is an internet ideology in search of a physical home.
The group hosted 250 Praxis-supporters in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, earlier this month,
where attendees like Bedrock’s #Geoff #Lewis
and #Mamuka #Bakhtadze, former prime minister of Georgia,
were presented with different location options for Praxis.
