Even though it doesn't happen often, from time to time I ride with cyclist who is dedicated to cycling with a passion.

I've run a sweet training session a couple of days ago
It was on the time trial race machine, which makes it easy to run at these speeds. At this point in time the bike has a mountain steering setup which means it doesn't have the commandeurs and time trial handlebars, making the performance even more valuable.

I want to ventilate on how important PPE is since it's the last stop between you and disaster

Had my little cousin taken PPE into account he would have survived the crash, given the fact that he had undergone Judo where you learn how to properly break a fall ( he had not)
I'm a PPE freak and use it for everything;
When I cook I use EN388 cutlevel 5 gloves, I use ANSI Z87.1 glasses when I operate machinery like my grinders and drills, along with proper body PPE and earmufs with an NRR of -24dB. Same when I do heavy drilling / demolition / jack hammering, where you need to protect your scrotum and intestines against violent shaking of the machines.
In trucks I have full truck PPE all the way down to my underware, esp designed for driving heavy trucks with heavy loads
If I still screwup I only need to swap out that part of my PPE set with a new one, deduct what went wrong and why, and make sure I dont repeat the mistake
Processing the loss of my little cousin, who died Sunday in a traffic

Even an older guy like me could learn something from a pirated PDF of a early 2000s era textbook aimed at young apprentices. I'd wanted one of these caps after clouting my head on my own car's gearbox last year whilst doing the oil service, but didn't know the existed or what they were called..
In case of emergency, always make sure you are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment...
