Since I started my #fitness journey and moving more to #mobilelinux I needed a way to track my HR during a cycling session at the gym. #polar has a nice HR sensor, H10, that someone supports really well in python. I bought one on ebay for cheap and created a simple tracking app. This lets me take any of my #linux phones to the gym and connect to my earbuds and HR sensor over bluetooth and complete and log my workout. Useful until bluetooth pass through to android.

Ruth_Mottram - The #Fediverse is amazing, less than 24 hours after I posted this and @peertube  is only €223 from the penultimate target with 30 hours to go.

Not taking any credit for that, but happy to see a chord has been struck for all genuine surveillance-capital-free social media. Even more important in the time of #NoKings.

Looks like I'm going to be busy making #Science videos on #ClimateChange in the #Polar Regions too for the next few weeks.

The @peertube  app campaign is just €7000 away from it's €55,000 target, and 2 days to go. Surely there are #fedizens who may not have seen this already? If they make the €55,000 target I promise to write a peertube channel into my next grant proposal, AND I'll post some better quality videos of our Greenland and #Antarctic research over the coming weeks...
