Dual #ActiveBackupForBusiness remote #windows11 machines (testing the #deduplication in the process), along a simple file copy onto an external #USB #SSD #OWC enclosure.
(yes 3rd party external drives work just fine!)
The NAS is nice and calm with no performance issues at all.

There are not really any good thunderbolt options, even if you’re willing to spend $$$.
#Owc uses the shittiest fans on the planet.
Sonnet has lots of cool stuff but it’s all (?) pcie breakout, I think.
I’m exceedingly frustrated.
I just want a nice T3 box for 2-4 NVMe sticks, bus powered, and no goddamn fan. Preferably in the shape of the mini/studio footprint.
I got one of the usb ones to try, but I’m not **at all** happy about it.
