The <a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/oligarchs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>oligarchs</span></a> are the only ones who actually BENEFIT from the evil — all the rest of our enemies are suckers who will eventually find out that the joke is on them — but the whole 20% or so are fully on board with mass murder. Rotten to the core.</p><p>(2) Even the remaining 80% or so, though not willing backers of mass murder, aren't quite as nice as they — or we! — would like to think they are. They're more diverse than the 20%, but many of them are vulnerable to propaganda of a kind that wouldn't have a chance of working on people who were truly fundamentally decent.</p><p>(3) In case you're ready to give up on Americans: the rest of the world is more or less the same at bottom.</p><p>Idealization of human nature is one of the Left's worst obstacles. If the problem were really nothing more than deceit and oppression perpetrated upon 99.99% of the population by a tiny minority of 0.01%, it would have been solved long ago. Despair is not justified, but we have to understand our task: to build a decent whole out of largely indecent components.
