Stephen Sekula<p>I'm putting together slides for my students to summarize the <a href="https://mastodon.cooleysekula.net/tags/CAPCongress25" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CAPCongress25</span></a> and I decided to include snaps of my (extensive) notes where possible. I don't think people emphasize note-taking enough any more and it's an invaluable element in my arsenal of learning tools. Here's a look at what my notes look like. I've always felt they should be readable but expressive.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.cooleysekula.net/tags/writing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>writing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.cooleysekula.net/tags/notes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>notes</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.cooleysekula.net/tags/notetaking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>notetaking</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.cooleysekula.net/tags/physics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>physics</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.cooleysekula.net/tags/neutrinos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>neutrinos</span></a></p>

Fossery Tech :debian: :gnome:<p>As I mentioned in one of my previous posts (or maybe multiple ones), my note taking tool of choice is Joplin, because of its flexibility, customizability. I did quite a lot of customization on it, including some CSS styles for the UI of the program itself, and the rendered notes, to make things more visible, prettier, and also included workarounds for some rendering issues. I also like to use the plugin called Templates with a template I made to create study notes from.</p><p>I decided to share these things with you, maybe some of you will find them useful too.<br><a href="https://codeberg.org/fossery-tech/joplin-desktop-config" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">codeberg.org/fossery-tech/jopl</span><span class="invisible">in-desktop-config</span></a><br>You can find detailed description of what's included, and how to use the config in the README.</p><p><a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/Joplin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Joplin</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/Notes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Notes</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/Notetaking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Notetaking</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/StudyNotes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>StudyNotes</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/FosseryTech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FosseryTech</span></a></p>
