Fossery Tech :debian: :gnome:<p>As I mentioned in one of my previous posts (or maybe multiple ones), my note taking tool of choice is Joplin, because of its flexibility, customizability. I did quite a lot of customization on it, including some CSS styles for the UI of the program itself, and the rendered notes, to make things more visible, prettier, and also included workarounds for some rendering issues. A further word on a digital notebook; @obsidian is so far my favourite, and would highly recommend.
Solid features, great plugins, and it's all in Markdown files, so if you every really need to, you can escape and use something else.
Got burned the hard way by #Evernote as to how important that last bit is 
The best bit of advice i can give any junior developer; get a note book. Preferably a digital one.
Take notes. Takes notes about _everything_. Found a console command? Take note. Someone gave a weird reason as to why X does Y? Take note.
It's an amazing habit, that constantly pays dividends.
Get inspired but not tied down by systems designed by others.
