This mess was brought to you by fighting feedback loops. I wanted to quickly film my cute midiTracker setup, but totally missed to include the lil pod on the video.
@metasyn This sums it up pretty well. It's a little less structured than in previous states. But as its super small, I don't mind patching something all across the whole setup.
The mixing section is quite large but allows to have everything in one place.
Gig alert! I'll be performing at @denoised_cas festival put together by @mantissa and friends, later this year.
My set from yesterday's #EarthModularSociety International Drone Day event
My meeting with electronic music was mid of the 70s when Jean Michel Jarre released his first Album "Oxygène" (1976). It was really kind of alien space music at this time. :0)
The beginnings of electronic music!

A bit of a different vibe on this one. I kind of had an idea of what I wanted to do this morning, but it sort of took a life of is own.
This morning's special long, moody #improvisation

With everything going on at work, I've had little time to make any music, or really even practise much. So, this morning I attempted to forget everything and just "bliss out" (to use a antiquated term).
a new track was added to the album “05/02/2025”. y would be dazed and confused…. enjoy!

RADIO IRRTUM! (on air from Berlin)
is there. For you!
↓↓↓ Deutsch Version below unten ↓↓↓
Da next issue of #RadioIrrtum! will arrive this Saturday, 2025/05/10, 8:00pm UTC+2/Berlin time. At Alex Berlin FM at 91MHz or DAB+ K7D around #Berlin and worldwide at https://www.alex-berlin.de/radio-livestream .
#Radio Irrtum! is a German language #radioShow exploring the sonic vastness of the #underground. Emitted transmissions may raise attention for new unheard #music all over this planets genre spectrum. Don't worry about the German language aspect - it's about the #music!
This time you may experience a pleasantly weird mix of genres, like
- phunky #pop from #Lebanon and Norway
- Ukrain #Dub
- Hefty US #Bass
- New York #breakcore
- #Berlin + #Burlington Elektro #GirlPunk
- #Bonkwave (or maybe not)
- Music based on recordings of giant parking house ventilation systems
- Berlin #ModularSynth music
- Czech #TapeDelay sounds
- #Leipzig #Postpunk
- #Spaghettiwesternmusic
- dreamy London Ebass stuff
I'm glad to report that I've never had soo much #CreativeCommons music in my show – so much I had to create a special jingle 4 it - it will jingle your bells all the time now!! And there is of course a lot of overlab with #FediMusicians: Featured will be:
- @bangskij@climatejustice.social
- @oleksiy@sonomu.club
- @Traiken@mastodon.social
- @n3wjack@mastodon.social
- @anja@sonomu.club
They are all so cool: Check out their profiles and dig their music, you probably wont be disappointed with at least one of them.
The only problem: Me explaining so much about the background of most of the tracks and the fact of having lots of music to play forced me to talk over a lot of tracks. Sorry for that.
Anyway: If at least a bit interested in kewl new unusual #music, tune in!
I'll post playlist + manuscript later here (provided I’m home, else it will come up the day after). And if you have questions? I'll gladly answer! Just ask!
CU all on Saturday! :)

last night i streamed the same patch i made for a show this past weekend for #EarthModularSociety
first stream in awhile, for #EarthModularSociety ARPril challenge. this is our fourth year doing the monthly patch themes, and our fourth time doing arps in april. This time i have a rising arp from Ornament and Crime going into one of the oscillators of the Grandmother, and then built some spacey stuff around it.
Experimenting with clocking the modular from an expression pedal. A combination between tap tempo and ramp-based sequencing, in a way. Tapping gives a downbeat, and lifting the foot generates subdivisions. When all the way up, a steady clock is output (at a rate determined by the downbeats). Work-in-progress. One step (lol) closer. Will require some practice, but already very fun!
#modularsynth
my most recent #EarthModularSociety stream is the first one in a couple months due to life stuff. the patch is based around this wildly pitch shifting chord through the Rainbow Machine, so a lot of the harmonies, key, etc are quite ambiguous
i've been listening to a lot of fluxion lately <3
made using; flute, looper pedal, sine wave, 909 kick drum
It's #bandcampFriday and I actually have something to promote, my modular ambient album, "mending" which i released last month. Three tracks, three different synth patches.
This was easily the most complicated patch I've made and used almost all my cables. Trying to document what I did was quite an exercise!
I found some new tricks on the Grandmother and Pam's which I'm going to reuse. I was pretty happy with the outcome with Rings but there's room for improvement in the percussive flurries from Plaits.
