Mobile App Accessibility: Best Practices for Inclusive Design -- good stuff, but could be for web, too https://afixt.com/mobile-app-accessibility-best-practices-for-inclusive-design/ #mobile #UIDesign #inclusiveDesign
Here’s a new #mobile #app design choice I haven’t encountered before.
I basically always have my phone on silent. I never have it making noise for notifications or texts or anything. I got the Bird Buddy app to go with our new feeder camera and I noticed that everything I was tapping on was making noise. Even with my hard switch on the side of my phone in the silent position, it was still playing sounds. That’s just wrong. There should be no reason to override that switch. This option for sounds should only matter when the phone is NOT in silent mode. It should not make noise in silent mode, no matter how I have this set. It’s like they’ve never used a phone before.
Note that the description says nothing about sounds in the UI when you tap things. But this setting does in fact control those also.

Two weeks with AR glasses and Linux on Android
I recently learned something that blew my mind; you can run a full desktop Linux environment on your phone.
[…]
That's a graphical environment via X11 with real window management and compositing, Firefox comfortably playing YouTube (including working audio), and a status bar with system stats. It launches in less than a second and feels s

W3C does not have separate guidelines for mobile web content."

Hey #plasmamobile users, what role is it playing in your life? Is it a on a secondary device? Are you daily driving it? Is it something you simply want to support in the hope it will one day be the only thing in your pocket? What distro are you using?
I know it's Saturday, but does anyone in the #AndroidDev community know how to animate from ExtendedFAB to FAB when scrolling like it does on the left?
This is it in a compose-sample project and for the life of me I can't find the code where this is in the repo of it to see.
My app (Right) just jitters from ExtendedFAB to FAB.
Thanks in advance!
