Scribblemacher<p>I accidentally played <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/MetroidII" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MetroidII</span></a> for like 3 hours straight. I don't remember the map at all, but I've stumbled on the Varia, spring ball, Space Jump, High Jump, Spazer, and 3 energy tanks.</p><p>What has surprised me is how hard missiles are to come by. Enemies rarely seem to drop them. I probably got more from expansions rather than drops.</p><p>I'm also surprised by how good the sound is. The little "oh shit" jingle that plays when a Metroid sees you has made me jump more than once. Ellie, Who Slows the Sunset<p>About halfway through <a href="https://retro.pizza/tags/Metroid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Metroid</span></a> Fusion and have to say, I'm really enjoying it; it's a shame I never gave it the time back when I had it as a kid. It skews more linear than previous Metroid games, but I don't mind that. Not entirely sold on the way Samus and her computer ADAM are characterised though. Last week I've managed to finish it (with secrets covered at 90%), and I can confirm it's an awesome game all the way through. Though I do agree that the controls on GC version are a nightmare, and I've used god mode for the final boss. I think I'd be able to defeat it without that after a few attempts, but didn't feel like it was worth it.</p><p>I went for <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Metroid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Metroid</span></a>: Zero Mission next, or GBA remaster of the first game in series, and I can tell already it's awesome as well. And the soundtrack — it's amazing what a simple looped melody can do, and without getting boring. The controls aren't great, but perhaps that's because I'm mapping them to a gamepad. W zeszłym tygodniu udało mi się je ukończyć (z sekretami coś na poziomie 90%), i potwierdzam, że to wybitna gra. Chociaż zgadzam się, że sterowanie na <br>GC jest makabryczne, a na ostatniego bossa wspomogłem się nieśmiertelnością — choć uważam, że po paru próbach udałoby mi się i bez tego, ale już mi się nie chciało.</p><p>Niezwłocznie wziąłem się za <a href="https://pol.social/tags/Metroid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Metroid</span></a>: Zero Mission, czyli remaster pierwszej gry, w wersji na GBA. I po krótkiej chwili stwierdzam, że to również wybitna gra, a muzyka — jest coś niezwykłego w tym, jak prosta melodia w pętli wpada w ucho, i nie nudzi się. No i sterowanie męczące, choć może to kwestia mapowania na pada.
