Alisson should have done better with Mateta's pen.
I guess we’re not tacking on the time Guehi was injured? Basic refereeing duties.
Harvey Elliott has been outstanding in the few minutes he’s been on the pitch. Showing his intensity and vision.
Suddenly #LFC are playing football again.
You know, lads, you're allowed to do this when you're still 2-1 up, as well.
Elliott for Wirtz makes sense, Florian has faded badly as the match has progressed.
Would like to see more involvement from Salah. As Palace are forced to extend in pursuit of an equalizer, we should see more chances for a rapid counter. So far the right side has been too quiet.
That's a very poor shot from Wirtz.
#LFC getting a bit bullied by Palace at the moment. (Not unfairly: they're just strong, and we've lowered the intensity.)
#LFC letting Palace into this game. I do not like.
Too much elaboration in the Palace penalty area by #LFC. When you have a shooting opportunity, nine times out of ten you should take it: each further pass is a chance for it to go wrong, and even if it goes right it's a chance for the defence to rearrange itself.
Hugo could have had a hat trick by now.
A free kick! A free kick to #LFC
Hugo should have had that.
Now look I, want a season not dominated by refereeing complaints as much as anyone. But we've just seen a half in which #LFC had 65% possession, and were awarded ONE foul. While Palace, on 35 possession, were awarded seven, including the soft penalty. #LFC were given two yellow cards, Palace none.
We're not even seeing a pretence of even-handedness. Honestly, it's got to the stage where denying this constantly repeating pattern would be bordering on delusional.
Was that ... was that deliberate?
What on Earth, Jeremie?!
That is a very very soft penalty.
I suppose PGMOL — and in particular Paul Tierney — may as well start the season as they mean to go on.
