A lake on a sunny day. There is shallow clear water with some stones sticking out in the foreground, and then this gives way to a reflection of the blue sky as it goes into the distance. There are tiny clouds on the horizon but they mean no harm. There are small boats, swimmers and paddlers in the distance.

What happens if you add heat to sedimentary rocks? You get fun minerals such as andalusite seen here as the white prismatic, nearly square and diamond crystals in metamorphosed slate. The source of the high temperatures was a granite intrusion that created a contact aureole.
