Update: TeleMessage’s message store has been exfiltrated. A hacker claimed it took them less than 30 minutes to access it. The archived messages were stored—apparently in plaintext?—in an AWS container, which they accessed.
What’s more, the data contains usernames AND PASSWORDS. Did they really store plaintext passwords?

As an aside: this action uses the Congressional Review Act, an awful act that not only allows congress to review specific rules issued by agencies, but to overturn them AND PROHIBIT THEIR REINTRODUCTION FOREVER. IMO this law violates the separation of powers (Congress can muck around with agencies that report to the Executive, for instance), allows Congress to prevent agencies from implementing their own rulemaking processes, and allows Congress to break things PERMANENTLY. This act was signed into law in 1996 by…Bill Clinton. Thanks, Slick Willie, you jackass.

The chaos and uncertainty of the implementation makes Trump’s tariff policy so much worse than it appears on the surface.
In the #cars world, people are simply *not buying new cars* until this whole thing stabilizes, especially luxury cars. This has the dual effect of raising prices in the used cars market because of increased demand, and also diverting money away from car manufacturers. I guess the only winners here are used car dealers that can pocket a premium from buyers, at least in the short term.
