I'm sat upstairs on a train!
So far the #interrail journey has been smooth. Fair play to official Rail Planner app, couple of taps and I had a ticket for a train leaving in 10 minutes.
Off to explore Europe. Choo-choo!

With version 50.1.0, offline is now working again, but the new Departures view is used even for offline searches, and is still annoyingly buggy:
- If you search for anything without touching the date picker, it will fail to find anything, even if there are trains within the hour. You must at least open the date picker and confirm without changing anything for it to work
- It still showes duplicate trains in online mode
- The paging problems remain - an empty hour clears the whole list when you try to page "1 hour later"
- What's worse, it looks like after paging in either direction, **tapping trains that are not part of the most recently loaded page shows the earliest train that is instead**. So, if you searched for trains at 17:00, tapped "1 hour earlier" and then tapped the 17:01 train, it will take you to the 16:01 train instead (assuming Takt timetables)
- Also, this is technically not a bug, but the new compact layout hides train categories and numbers, which can lead to confusion and I think should be fitted somewhere - at least distinguish s-bahn, regio and IC if you're really trying to save screen width
Tapping on a station in a train's route properly brings up departures when offline now, as it did before the updates.

Conclusion: we were 1 hour late, and had to spend a lot of time standing. Money wise, #Interrail would have been cheaper but I didn't think of it. #CrossBorderRail

It seems hella buggy, though, poking around led to it skipping whole pages of trains when you tap on the "1 hour earlier" button, tapping "1 hour later" when there are no trains in the next hour leads to the whole list getting replaced with the dreaded "Sorry" screen instead of remaining with no additions and letting you tap more times to load further hours, and tapping a station in a train's individual route to open departures from that station is still broken.

In other news, it looks like the Departures tab also pulls from Eurail's online Hafas instance with delay info now, in a more compact format.

Welp, looks like the offline timetable is completely broken on the latest Android app for me, getting "<<< HAFAS system error >>>: Assertion failed" in logcat. Online search (remember, this is the default now) works.
Uhhhh, is it just me, or did a recent #Interrail app update break searching for stations offline?

Now on the train towards Malmö. Because of track works in Järna we are taking a roundabout route. No particularly exotic piece of track from a #Streckensammler point of view, though, I think. I assume there is regular passenger traffic on all lines we will use, even if not often by trains between Stockholm and Malmö. #Interrail
The next #Interrail trip is about to start, with the spouse. Enjoying glasses of cava before stepping onto the train to Turku Western Docks.

Kann ich auch mehrere Pässe (von unterschiedlichen Personen) in derselben APP aktivieren oder muss das jede Person separat machen?
Denn die App will dass ich für jeden Pass eine neue Reise Anlage. Und das irritiert mich doch. Grad beim Pass fürs Kiddo

Ich will von Flensburg nach Karlskrona und dann wieder von Karlskrona nach Flensburg.
Die Hinfahrt kostet 39,99 € mit Europa-Sparpreis. Super!
Die Rückfahrt kostet immer mehr als 120€+, weil Flexpreis. Selbe Person mit den gleichen BC's.
Es ist auch quasi egal mit welchem Datum in der Zukunft ich die Preise raussuche.
Wisst ihr warum das so ist? Gibt es keine Sparpreise wenn die Zugfahrt in #Schweden startet? Gibt es da Hacks?
Die Anreise zur #TARNo2 ist geplant. Am 9. Mai begebe ich mich auf eine Zugfahrt mit einer Länge von 22h 44m. Eine Stunde bevor der Checkin der Fähre nach #Durrës schließt, komme ich in #Bari an. Die Überfahrt dauert dann 10 Stunden und findet in der Nacht statt. Von Durrës nach #Shkodër fahre ich dann noch mal gemütlich mit dem Rad in das Hostel, wo wir auch letztes Jahr vor und nach dem Rennen einquartiert waren.
Weil ich mein Rad dieses mal fahrbereit lassen und nicht in einer Tasche verpacken will, war eine große Schwierigkeit eine Zugverbindung zu finden, die mir das ermöglicht. Morgen kümmere ich mich um die Rückfahrt.
Für die Zugfahrten habe ich mir ein #Interrail Ticket besorgt.

Es gab doch so eine Möglichkeit, dass man seine Bahnreisen speichern konnte und dann von einer Firma sich einen analogen Kunstdruck anfertigen lassen konnte.
Ich hab mir das scheinbar nicht gespeichert, würde es aber für #interrail gerne nutzen.
Danke wenn da wer was weiß, meine websuchen scheitern

Buy a "ticket", NOT "seat only" in this case.
Doing the website shuffle attempting to work out which of the many rail operators/brokers will allow me to make an #Interrail Seat Reservation on EC150 from Milano Centrale to Frankfurt am Main Hbf.
Nobody seems to want to own up to being able to reserve it, and even the Interrail website is telling me they’re going to have to sell me a paper ticket…

The train travels the same route as the Ankara-Diyarbakır Touristic Express others pay USD 500 for - but as a local train it's cheap as USD 5 or even included in InterRail.
From wide grass lands, little hills up to snowy mountains everything covered 
.
The train is by far one of the most comfortable regional trainsets I have seen so far. Little occupancy.
