#chaoscomputerclub do some cool events in #Germany and there are really nice talks.

Here, in one of these talks, @hpk talks about getting #FOSS projects funded from #EuropeanUnion

I haven't watched it, yet. I'm going to. But I know he with folks at #DeltaChat @delta got the DeltaChat family of apps and #WebXDC as well funded. So we are hearing from one of people who actually have doing it.

PS: As a disclaimer, I work at DeltaChat.

PS2: As far as I know, DeltaChat ecosystem has got multiple sources of funding and more than one people managed to get funding for development for one or more of these apps there. For instance, I think DeltaTouch got funded separately. DeltaChat Tauri got funded separately by @nlnet thanks to the efforts of Simon Laux.

PS3: The same foundations such as NLnet or organizations which funded DC, also funded many other cool FOSS projects. If you want to learn more, it's a good idea to checkout experience of other projects and people outside DeltaChat, too. As a bonus, you can find many interesting projects you could not find elsewhere thanks to SEO algorithms not showing you those.

We didn’t have the best experience with bug bounties at elementary—the platform we were using turning into a cryptocoin rug pull notwithstanding.

That said, it’s been a while since I heard about bounty programs for open source projects. Maybe we were just inexperienced, or the platform we were using was not set up well. Has anyone seen successful examples?

Someone recently pointed out algora.io. Has anyone here used it?
