5️⃣ In 2021 hatte der Spiele-Hersteller #Epic in den USA einen Kartell-Prozess gegen Apple weitgehend verloren, es ging um den Zugang zum AppStore und der Möglichkeit für Epic, Spiele/Spielinhalte unabhängig vom Store (und ohne 30% Apple-Zuschlag) zu bezahlen.

Die einzige Auflage an #Apple: Der iPhone-Hersteller musste Epic (und anderen Entwicklern) erlauben, Benutzer darauf hinzuweisen, dass sie zusätzliche Inhalte auch ausserhalb des App Stores kaufen könnten.

On a Monday, I needed to do something a little more relaxing than chores and catching up on the news. Another find from my treasure hoard of images captured in Flagstaff last summer. The quest or battles of this decorative iron "drawing" seem to have different interpretations depending on what is going on in your world when you see it. My first thoughts went to Day of the Dead skeletons trying to outrun attacks. But then I wonder if the helmets and surreal images show Nazi villains. Your guess?

This was really interesting and horrifying to read. It makes me want to buy a $20 burner smart phone for online shopping with a VPN.

But even scarier than the price gouging stuff, how do I know that Rite Aid didn’t sell information about me they obtained from facial recognition software when I went into their store/pharmacy to the government? They know I’m disabled because I’m on Medicare and I’m younger than 65. My disability doesn’t involve my ability to walk around a store, but if yours does will Rite Aid tell the government that they have video of you walking for 10 minutes just fine? Will that mess with your disability review? Maybe, who would even know?
