The participants in the discussion at #EOSCSymposium2024 agreed that #FAIR #RDM must be integrated into the curriculum as quickly as possible in order to achieve a multiplier effect.
On the other hand, however, this will not be enough to reach all levels of academic levels. There are dependencies that Bachelor students cannot break through. Therefore, in my opinion, it is not enough to focus exclusively on training for early career scientists.

We are currently at the #EOSCsymposium2024 in Berlin. Today @FAIRmat speaker Claudia Draxl gave a scientific keynote on the topic ‘FAIR, what else?’ and we couldn't agree more.
Tomorrow we will have a joint session with the @eoscassociation and then move on to our event #EOSCxNFDI. https://eveeno.com/eoscxnfdi

In the first session of the #EOSCSymposium2024 all speakers managed to keep the excitement going until today's launch of the EOSC EU Node. This afternoon is the day!
Stay tuned and update the website later in the day.
Next up: The launch of the EOSC EU Node, chaired by Ingrid Dillo from @DANS_knaw_nwo.
She started with a very fitting quote by the late Sarah Jones, about (very loosely paraphrasing) the importance of making the EOSC activities and outputs understandable to all researchers, including the #longtailofscience.
Can we please NOT make #FAIR data all about AI as well? If something is findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable, it is by definition ready to be used by artificial 'intelligence'.
Let's please be mindful of the risk that this horrible #AIhype poses to #science and scientific research.
Already the second time that I think this at #EOSCsymposium2024
Day #2 of the #EOSCsymposium2024 in Berlin. I'm curious about what the day will be like.
Register now for the EOSC Symposium 2024!
Monday 21 October (13:00) till Wednesday 23 October 2024 (16:00)
H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz
The Symposium will also be the opportunity to explore further synergies and collaborations between @eoscassociation and #NFDI.
See you there! https://eosc.eu/symposium2024/
The Call for Papers for the EOSC Symposium 2024 is closed. Numerous contributions have been submitted.
The #EOSC community can now vote on the remaining contributions and select the topics that interest you the most to be presented at the Unconference Sessions!
