#Art #Vandalism #Local #Government I am sure that anyone who has ever had dealings with a #Town_Council in #England & #Wales can quite see how this would happen. I'm deliberately excluding Scotland and cities like Birmingham & Liverpool since they're #wise & #cultured enough to do the right thing when it comes to Art, but a small town England and Wales, ? I rest my case.

"There are almost two-thirds more people living with ME/CFS in England than previously thought, a study says. The new estimate suggests that approximately 404,000 people are affected by ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome), a 62% rise from the previously accepted figure of 250,000."

Professor Chris Ponting, study lead from the MRC Human Genetics Unit at the University of Edinburgh's Institute of Genetics and Cancer, said, "The NHS data shows that getting a diagnosis of ME/CFS in England is a lottery, depending on where you live and your ethnicity. There are nearly 200 GP practices—mostly in deprived areas of the country—that have no recorded ME/CFS patients at all. The data backs up what many people with ME/CFS say, that they feel invisible and ignored."

For any of my #American friend's here who liked #Adolescence, I would like to recommend the movie 'This is England' (2006), and it's spin-off TV show.

The original British skinhead movement were whites rejecting long haired hippies, and instead integrating black music and culture into theirs. But. In the early 80's, Nazism corrupted skinhead youth and took it over....

This movie is a drama about a very young teen coming into skinhead culture at this time, and is conflicted by the two opposing views.

One of the main characters, a Nazi skinhead, is played by Stephen Graham, who also plays the dad in Adolesence - which an American audience might also recognise as playing Al Copone on HBO's Boardwalk Empire.

If you like 'This is England', then also consider the movie 'Dead Man's Shoes' by the same writer / director.
