I thought her adaptation of Sense and Sensibility was the funniest film I saw in 1995. Other people agreed because she won both a Golden Globe & an #Oscar for the adapted screenplay.
I think my girlfriend, later my wife, thought I loved the movie because of #JaneAusten. But it was really because of Emma.

Enjoying re-watching Russell T. Davies’ near-future U.K. dystopia soap Years and Years. Emma Thompson is good as Pauline Hanson-eque populist-on-the-rise Vivienne Rook, though not sure where she’d fit in the typologies.
