This nerdsniped me into adding curvature combs to Dune 3D so my projects can have iPhone-quality corners too!

Some other recent additions to Dune 3D you might find useful:

- Hovering over constraint tools in the context menu shows a preview of what the constraint will do
- Shortcuts in the context menu (Gtk4 made this somewhat harder than it should have been)
- Horizontal/Vertical mirror groups
- Arbitrary solid model operations outside of the standard modeling sequence

@irfan There is FreeCAD, it's a #foss alternative to Fusion 360.
You could also try #dune3d which might be less intimidating that FreeCAD. I have not really used it but there was a talk about it at the last #fosdem edition.
Otherwise, a non-foss option but dead simple to use is tinkercad.com (browser-based).

Exactly one year after publishing Dune 3D, version 1.2 is out! github.com/dune3d/dune3d/relea

It's jam-packed with new features including, but not limited to:
- Copy/paste
- Bezier curves
- DXF import
- Text rendering

Since a just list of new features is a bit bland, find an illustrated overview of what's new in the docs: docs.dune3d.org/en/1.2/whats-n

With the addition of per-body solid colors, all of the major features for the next release of Dune 3D are in!

Now it's time to update the docs and fix any remaining bugs.

Too impatient? Go and get the sources from git, maybe you'll find a bug as a reward!

I was using #FreeCAD for a while but it's never felt very good, they are making bigger strides now but I just don't like the flow. I found #dune3D the other day and was amazed how good it is for such a young program and it's perfect for single part designs.
I still dream of a program that allows me to design the finished part first and then chop it up for #3dPrinting with good connector options.

Feeling relatively clear today so thought I'd get a few of the wife's requested prints designed but for some reason #FreeCAD just wouldn't start so went looking for alternatives and stumbled upon #dune3d and OMG what a banging new #CAD tool, it's a very fast core clearly built around keyboard shortcuts but has a lovely context menu you bring up with space and for designing simple parts has absolutely everything I need today. I am very impressed. #3dprinting #design #partdesign
