Vulpes vulpes (red fox). This is Lisa. She use to live at the Animal Ark north of Reno, Nevada. The Animal Ark is an ethical animal rescue facility. They don't breed animals for sale to zoos. They are entirely funded by grants and donations.

This photograph captures a towering granite mountain rising sharply into a deep, cloudless blue sky. The rock face is steep and rugged, its surface streaked with golden light from the afternoon sun. Below the mountain, a powerful waterfall crashes down a long, smooth slab of rock, angling diagonally through the right side of the image. The water glows white against the darker stone, creating a strong contrast.

The entire scene is framed naturally by trees—tall evergreens surround the view, and their dark green branches hang from the top and sides, casting shadowy shapes that give the photo a sense of depth and shelter. In the lower part of the image, a dense forest of pine trees covers the valley floor in rich green tones, adding texture and grounding the immense scale of the mountain above.
