are there any optimised languages? i mean, so that the language has as few phonemes and words as possible, words and sentences are shortest, but it remains audibly well comprehensive and can express all needed conceptions without overcomplications. i know, esperanto toki pona and lojban are pretty far from that description, and i dont know about any project pursuing similar purposes

Je ne peux pas vivre sans créer des trucs... Genre #dessin, #ecriture, #worldbuilding... J'ai même un univers collaboratif en cours avec deux chèr-es ami-es.

J'ai récemment quitté tout les réseaux pour ne rester que sur Tumblr et le #fediverse, je regrette pas du tout. Ça fait énormément de bien et je veux maintenant découvrir d'autres manières de militer contre ce foutu #capitalisme et #fascisme.

Mark Rosenfelder's 'Syntax Construction Kit' is an accessible introduction to some pretty difficult linguistics. If you want to get started with conlanging you should get his other books, but if you've been wondering what Noam Chomsky is famous for, this is the one!

Why is #Klingon the only #language that seems to bypass universal translators? For that matter, how does #codeswitching work when using universal translators? And why do everyone's lips move as if they're speaking #English?

It's now been about 2 years that the #TokiPona community has been trying to translate #mastodon

We still can't do it because @Gargron is only human around who is capable of adding new translation targets.

The task would take about 5 minutes to complete, but we've been waiting 2 years.

Can you all #PleaseBoost this post and maybe we can get it in front of his eyes, since no one in the mastodon project actually checks the issue page?
