... a thought experiment, let's reduce the geographical reach for a moment, b/c "thinking globally" never solves any real-world problems:
The American north east, the area b/W #CAN and #DK (#Greenland.)

I have no idea about water depths and #PlateTectonics in that region, but wouldn't a #WaterPipeline be feasible?

#CAN will need increasing amounts of water for #ForestFire fighting, and more and more...

I finally published the repo for the rust CANOpen stack I've been working on, and wrote a post about it:

It's still woefully incomplete, and needs a lot more contact with real problems to find the issues, and then I can decide if this is a good idea or a huge waste of time :).

I have never actually published a crate before, and soon I will publish 5!

If you like the weirder side of the already weird #krautrock era (eg early albums that crossover w/ remnants of the hippy freak-folk scene that preceded it, or Damo's wilder outings w/ #Can) you might love the lead entry of this week's Other People's Music!

It's a psychedelic outing that dwells in a very similar space as those albums. Weird electronic backing tracks, trippy guitar lines and lots of wild chanting, wailing, and moaning. Great stuff!

I don't disagree with your assessment of the current situation.

However, in a world where the German chancellor elect says rearmament will be done "whatever it takes," where the #CAN #PM all but calls the #POTUS dumb on prime time TV, and the President of #Ukraine gets thrown out of the #WhiteHouse, I forecast enough fluidity also in the #UK for things to change in many respects until years end.

One thing is...

#AutomotiveSecurity experts say they have uncovered a method of car theft relying on direct access to the vehicle's system bus via a smart headlamp's wiring.

It all started when a Toyota #RAV4 belonging to one of the tech gurus suffered suspicious damage to the front wing and headlight housing, and was eventually successfully stolen. Some sleuthing and reverse engineering revealed how the motor was finally nicked.

Ken Tindell, CTO of #Canis Automotive Labs, said the evidence pointed to thieves' successful execution of a so-called CAN #injection.

A Controller Area Network (#CAN) bus is present in nearly all modern cars, and is used by microcontrollers and other devices to talk to each other within the vehicle and carry out the work they are supposed to do.”
