But autism is a heterogeneous condition and the saying that if you know one autistic person that you know one autistic person is true. Some ways in which I differ from commonly talked about autistic traits:1. Sensory sensitivities are relatively mild and mostly related to clothing issues.2. Struggles a lot more with executive function and working memory, but not enough to also qualify for an ADHD diagnosis. 3. Not a terribly high masker; I don't have enough self-control to keep from stimming in public and not enough social awareness to alter my presentation drastically to please NTs.4. My neurodivergent traits interfere with me being able to conform to a lot gender based expectations. 5. I don't experience speech shutdowns because of my high verbal ability.6. I don't experience aleixythemia; in the past had more issues with lacking emotional control but have learned to overcome this to a large degree.What ways do YOU differ from common social media narratives about autism?
