1860s warehouses at Speirs Wharf in the north of Glasgow. Positioned at the end of the Glasgow spur of the Forth and Clyde Canal, close to its junction with the Monkland Canal, this was once an important inland port.

We started a tad before 7:00, fairly comfortable. Thank you Kengo, had it not been for you, I would be a very lazy man.
By the time we got back to our car, it was hot, and the lot was full. A bunch of friendly guys running on the trail acknowledging Kengo.

Lochinch House on Dumbrek Road on the Southside of Glasgow. Built on the Pollok Estate (now Pollok Country Park) in the 1860s, it was constructed as a home for the manager of the coal mines of the Stirling Maxwell Family who owned the estate until the 1960s, when it was gifted to the City of Glasgow.

A 1905 tenement on Stockwell Street in Glasgow, designed by A.B. McDonald. I love the central gable, complete with date plate, on this facade.

1860s terraced townhouse on Southpark Avenue in the Hillhead area of Glasgow. I love the shape of the oriel window on this building, which is also repeated on the neighbouring ones.
Visiting Normandy, France, Mont Saint-Michel is an iconic must see. A herd of perfectly lit black-faced sheep appeared at sunset, sunset clouds on the horizon, silhouetting Mont Saint Michel. Prints available:

Springburn Winter Gardens in Springburn Park in Glasgow. Designed by Simpson and Farmer, hothouse builders, with William Baird of Temple ironworks, this large glass house was built in 1900. It was damaged during a storm in 1983 and has been abandoned ever since. Plans to restore it were revealed in 2020, but have yet to be to implimented. I struggle to understand why nothing has been done with such a magnificent structure in over 40 years.
The old and new sections of the Theatre Royal in Glasgow. Originally built in 1867, the corner section was added in 2014, and was designed by Page\Park . While it's in a very different style, it maintains the older roofline and continues the long Glaswegian architectural tradition of having a distictive feature corner on important buildings at major road junctions.
A gently curving Victorian corner tenement on Queen Margaret Drive in Glasgow.
