I realized I didn't wear #yubikey on chain on my neck for 8 days (because of circumstances). And this is absolutely record for me, it was never so long until now!
Does it mean I have a problem? :neofox_laugh_tears_256:

I have it on me now. I couldn't feel so... naked? without armor? anymore.

If you are looking for a good password manager you can use from anywhere, there are plenty of excellent options to choose from. However, if you prefer to only store your passwords locally, KeePassXC is what you need. In our latest tutorial, we'll walk through setting up KeePassXC to work with your YubiKey as an additional factor to secure your local-only password database.

Always remember, when it comes to hardware security keys: Two is one, one is none.

Our latest article covers the setup process for two YubiKeys (from Yubico's YubiKey 4 or 5 series) to keep your online accounts safe and secure 🔒 + it goes through resetting your existing keys to a blank slate, and the reasons you might want to do so!

I was locked out of my work machine earlier, but it was due to an update of the Yubikey PAM U2F bindings. In case others have the same problem:

Frankly, this was a horrible rollout of a security fix, as there's no obvious remediation, and many folks may not have the ability to boot with a rescue drive to workaround the issue.

On a recent #Dell #laptop, I'm facing a hard to debug #Linux wakeup crash: if a USB device (e.g., a #Yubikey) is plugged before putting the laptop in standby and removed while sleeping, then Linux will "reliably" crash upon resuming, with no visible oops nor dmesg log. I can reproduce it with a Yubikey, but it also happens with a USB docking station (connected to keyboard, mouse, etc.). Any idea what to look for? It's also hard to properly search the web for…
