Whatcom Falls on Whatcom Creek in Whatcom Falls Park in Bellingham, Washington State, USA. A nice fall image from there that I find it hard to believe is 17 years old.

One of the parts I enjoy most about shooting waterfalls is seeing the patterns of the flow of water hidden within the chaos of the splashes and spray.
With just a slightly slower shutter speed the flow of the waterfall cascades becomes obvious revealing these silky white streams.
Surreal light at Pont d'Espagne, Pyrenees.
(On the way back from beautiful Lac de Gaube, after a rainstorm and after most of the tourists had left for the day...)
Rock Fall
Although it might seem quite small, this lovely waterfall is actually 15 m/49 ft high. The end of the cascade is in a valley which has been filled with tumbled rocks, and this huge boulder plugging the final drop fools the eye into seeing a much smaller feature.
Just behind it is a second drop of 9 m/30 ft which can just be seen in the third shot.

Finally have something for #WaterfallWednesday
Mcdonald Falls along Murdo Creek in Davis Lake Provincial Park - British Columbia, Canada.
#Waterfall pictures from Saturday, not shared before, for this #WaterfallWednesday. I hope you can feel the coolness.

Force of nature. Engadin, September 2024
In the spirit of #WaterfallWednesday, I hiked to this magnificent #waterfall today in the White #Mountains, #NewHampshire. It felt impossible to fully capture the beauty of this 140 foot (43 m) waterfall in a single image. Here is a pic looking up at the upper portion with the sun setting behind the top. Enjoy! #nature #winter #hiking
A view from Ljoen viewing point outside Hellesylt, Norway. It's overlooking the famous Geraingerfjord.
For #WaterfallWednesday I have this photo taken last week when I was mentoring the 16 year old student from Surrey. This creek is completely dry in the summer. The best time to photograph it is now. It is located in a place known as Xwee Xwhya Luq by the K'ómoks people, in what is called today Courtenay.
