If you zoom in on the round tower in the third photo, you can see an archer aiming a bow and arrow. That's a statue or something. They didn't pay some poor schlub to pose for the tourists like that all day.
The fourth photo shows some nifty lion statues that are made out of wire! Sorry I don't have a closeup. I only had the 50mm non-zoom lens.
