Imagine Armando Iannucci's "The Death of Stalin" but with Beria rather than Khrushchev and Malenkov taking over. That's a bit like Putin's Russia today. A Chekist state.
And it's bizarre to consider that Stalin's senior officials probably had more talent in governance than the faceless sycophants Putin surrounds himself with today.
