My all-time favorite performance of Danny Boy is by Tommy Fleming - who I got to hear sing it live, in a tiny theatre in Naas, Ireland, from the front row, sitting next to my mom, on her first ever international trip.

We didn't even know who he was - I'd just rung up the theatre and asked if they had anyone on for the two days we were visiting at Killashee House. And the planets aligned, and there we were, getting goosebumps from that amazing voice... Still gets me the same way every time I hear it.
