Do you really need the missing serial console for remote out-of-band managemnt, like most of their devices?

Well, I had one and then returned it for that reason. I've been considering it again, but not without the serial connection... so a little digging around and I found some PCB images and quick info on the OpenWRT site.

Then decided to add those bits to a fork for personal tracking... for those interested in the PCB photos and quick-doc:

Clearly still a WIP, and would need to re-purchase the device to test it out... so perhaps in the next few months that will happen.

@asen Sanderson jest dość płodnym pisarzem - nie wiem czy to dobrze. Ida jak widzę łeb w łeb z Mrozem. Teraz myślałem o „Drogą Królów” ale przeczytałem też fragmenty pierwszego tomu serii s-f „Skyward” i zapowiada się też OK…
Dodatkowo sprawdziłem Blake Crouch (tego od „Mroczna materia” który mi się podobał) audiobook „Szum” z serii „Wayward Pines” - biorąc pod uwagę że jakoś audiobooki zwykle gorzej mi wchodzą niż książki wygląda to ok. Ale płacić za ebooki gdzie w cenie jednego mam miesiąc słuchania wersji audio - sam już nie wiem.
Przy okazji ciekaw jestem różnicy książka-serial jeśli chodzi o „Mroczna materia”. W przypadku „Silos” była duża - przynajmniej patrząc na pierwszy sezon. Potem już porzuciłem ekranizację na rzecz świetnej serii książkowej …

Jestem pod wrażeniem jak dobrym serialem jest Studio na AppleTV+. Całość to komedia o kierownictwie studia filmowego, ale nakręcona w bardzo fajny sposób. Na przykład 2. odcinek jest o tym jak nowy szef studia wpakował się na plan filmowy i zrujnował najważniejszą scenę w filmie. Oczywiście nikt mu nic nie zrobił i jeszcze wszyscy wchodzili mu w tyłek, bo jest szefem studia. Wszyscy przeżyliśmy takie sytuacje w pracy #serial

Serwis streamingowy Netflix znany jest jako wiodąca platforma oferujący użytkownikom dostęp do filmów, seriali, dokumentów oraz innych programów. Jej sukces opiera się nie tylko na szerokiej ofercie, lecz także tworzeniu i wspieraniu produkcji odwołujących się do lokalnej kultury popularnej.

Jedną z takich realizacji jest serial The Witcher (adaptacja prozy Andrzej Sapkowskiego), który miał swoją premierę 2019 r. Wyniki (jak dotąd trzech) sezonów są co najmniej zadowalające, a zdecydowana większość fanów Wiedźmina bardzo dobrze ocenia serial. Netflix miał więc w planach jeszcze produkcję dwóch sezonów.

No właśnie – miał. Okazało się bowiem, że w związku z tym, że popularność serialu zagraża innym amerykańskim produkcjom, Donald Trump dzisiaj zobowiązał Netflixa do zaniechania kręcenia kontynuacji Witchera.

Co więcej, premiera czwartego, już nakręconego sezonu, która miała mieć miejsce w 2025 r., również została wstrzymana.

Google dodaje easter egg związany z serialem „Severance” przed finałem drugiego sezonu.

Z okazji zbliżającego się finału drugiego sezonu, Google dodało zabawny easter egg dla fanów serialu. Po wyszukaniu „Severance” na Google, na ekranie pojawiają się unoszące się niebieskie balony – nawiązanie do balonów Lumon, które Mr. Milchick daje Markowi S. w pierwszym odcinku drugiego sezonu.

Aby zobaczyć balony, wystarczy wyszukać „Severance” w Google i kliknąć przycisk z konfetti, aby uruchomić animację. Wcześniej, przed premierą drugiego sezonu, Apple umożliwiło dodanie własnej twarzy do balonów Lumon.

I deliberately did not clean up the terminal to make it look like it's shiny and was just used.

This terminal has been sitting idle for more than 40 years! It should look this way, Dusty old, unused almost forgotten

I have it in case I would get a kernel panic where I could only get troubleshooting information via the rs232c serial port

I have a photograph for you, of a functioning 80x25 Wise serial terminal, a terminal so old, even in the year when we set up the internet in my country, it was considered super unique and ancient.
