GTW Highlight No.9: In April, we looked at Into The Shadows - an impressive 3D fantasy fighting game developed for Scavenger in 1996 for #PC, #PlayStation + #SegaSaturn. Only a rolling demo currently exists, but something playable is hoped to be found.
It's great to watch the progress of development for the SEGA Saturn FPGA core evolve. Wasn't that long ago the Saturn seemed an impossible task for the Mister FPGA and yet here we are...

Still love my original hardware, but great to have options.

Cotton 2 is hands-down one of my favorite side scrolling shooters . The graphics are dazzling and I love the magic tricks you can pull off, especially when you time trap and throw tactics - you can dominate like a boss
! I was lucky to pick this copy up with the original spine and large calendar cards which, by themselves, are gorgeous IMO. #retrogaming #SegaSaturn #Sega
The soundtracks of Panzer Dragoon games are truly ethereal, embodying their mysterious world in a memorable way.

Hey everyone. This is my #introduction post.
I'm a middle-aged guy on a quest to relive (and even experience for the first time) some #retrogaming gems of decades past.
ATM I'm collecting and gaming for the #NeoGeo MVS and #SegaSaturn systems, but I'll add other systems on my journey.
I do plan on streaming eventually, but right now I'm still working on getting a gaming space put together.
If you're interested in some pics and commentary on the games I collect, please follow!
Alright, new video! This time join me for a complete playthrough comparison (with commentary) of the arcade and Saturn versions of Tecmo's classic fighting game, Dead or Alive!

#DOOM on the #SegaSaturn is a strange beast. It has an interesting development story regarding John Carmack and his meddling, which has resulted in a... Muddy experience.
The game is the same as the PlayStation version, but there are fewer bells and whistles, most notably, lighting effects, and general visuals are a downgrade. If i said Doom on PlayStation was dark in places... OH BOY.
Movement feels slow, a little sluggish, making certain platforming moments a chore. A contrast from the Playstation's slippery movement.
There can be moments of slowdown as levels get more and more complex, not unplayable but noticeable and a little frustrating.
Much like the 3DO versions, enemies seem quite passive at times, and projectiles move slower than expected. But Doomguy is hyped on adrenaline, and his fire rate seems double the normal speed. The chainsaw in this version is a beast!

There are a number of things I am rubbish at. Advertising myself being a big one, I find myself in a weird spot of wanting to share stuff, but I don't want to come across as an attention seeker.
But my plan is to try and get out a toot once a month outlining my plans for my #YouTube channel. As well as trying to expand the content Web a little bit with my more general gaming videos and not just let's plays.
Anyway! Here is my PSA (Public Schedule Announcement) for July 2024:
#DOOM for the #SegaSaturn will be the main game for July.
#PowerWashSimulator will get periodic uploads but will not be the main focus.
#AnimalCrossingNewHorizons, let's return to my island and see how much they judge me after 2+ years of neglect!
A tier list of classic DOOM ports!
#ZeldaOcarinaOfTime glitches and exploit shorts that you can try at home!
(I may also be rubbish at graphic design... My supporting images are an absolute mess at the moment! But i am rushing these out...)

The Sega Saturn: much beloved, but it FAILED!
And my new video explains why (IMHO of course):
