He's experienced, having lived there for so many years, and the fact that he loves #russian #culture as publicly as he does probably keeps him..."there", in the condition that he's in.

Whether we like it or not, if the West wants access to russia, we cannot afford to 'not' play by their rules.
He does the best job he can, and that should be appreciated.
