@LukaszHorodecki @ati1 Tidal trochę słaby, jeśli chodzi o łatwość obsługi (#Spotify mi genialnie działało, jeśli chodzi o przekazywanie strumienia miedzy różnymi urządzeniami). Do przeżycia. Do last.fm używam osobno scrobblera na telefonie - wyłączyli wbudowaną obsługę w Tidal jakiś czas temu.

#linux #audio ppl please help!

I'm running #ubuntu 24.10 and using #mkchromecast to connect to speakers in my house, pipewire and qpwgraph to connect that up apps like #Cider and #Plexamp

My problem is that whenever I stop playing audio then restart it it resets all my #pipewire connections, disconnects from the mkchromecast sink and reconnects to the default system audio

Is there anyway to stop this happening. or other tools that will work better?

Did not listen to much music in December, but I finished playing Divinity:Original Sin 2 after 110 hours (which kept me from listening to much music, D:OS2's soundtrack is just to good to be disabled). What a great RPG, probably one of the best I've ever played. I still have to play Baldur's Gate 3 though.

Anyhow, here are my 25 most listened to #Music artists for December 2024 according to #PlexAmp 🎶

(genres are in the alt texts)

I left Spotify in 2021 and started listening to my own music collection. I already had the MP3s and/or the CDs from which to rip them, so I hosted them on my Plex server and started listening to them using the excellent Plexamp mobile client.

One thing I missed from Spotify was the "wrapped" listening summary... but I'd always believed I could improve on what Spotify delivered. This winter break I spent some time implementing a solution in Microsoft Fabric. I used data from my Plex server's SQLite database for recent years, and from the JSON files that Spotify will send you if you make a GDPR data request for older years. I standardized enriched both data sets with the open source MusicBrainz database, and then visualized some Spotify-inspired vanity metrics in Power BI.

@mattgrayyes I also do, and can always recommend #Plexamp as the best way to consume your rips on the go (presuming you run a #Plex server, but I would guess you probably do).

Another reason to do this: many artists have different personnel now, and have re-recorded their popular songs to change who gets royalties. And usually these versions are terrible. Autograph’s Turn Up The Radio is one of the worst examples I have heard. Worse? They replace the songs on the original albums sometimes!
