boxd.itA ★★★★ review of Alone in Berlin (2016)Sometimes you don’t need a big splashy movie to make a statement about how bad Nazi Germany was. Take Alone in Berlin, a film I never heard of from 2016. Based on a true story and based on one of the first anti-Nazi novels to come out of postwar Germany in 1947. The Quangels have lost their son fighting in Hitler’s war and become disillusioned with his lies. They begin a campaign of distributing postcards in buildings, postcards which denounce Der Fuhrer and the policies of the Third Reich. It’s only a small act of disobedience. It’s not cutting off
