Outline (https://www.getoutline.com): the open-source, modern team wiki with real-time collaboration, full Markdown support, and built-in Mermaid diagrams and LaTeX. We are testing it at https://collab.epfl.ch (limited access)

Now I have #Outline and #Docmost simultaneously to compare them. And Outline wins because of OIDC support and incredible UI that feels like a native app on the phone. Too bad I can have only one workspace in Outline but I can use collections instead. My wife is happy to not create another account and login to Outline with her #NAS account instead. Me too, to be honest.

Time to migrate I guess.

Yesterday I set up #Outline as a household wiki. It has very nice UI. Also very convenient on mobile.
The #TIL of yesterday was that my #Synology #NAS could be an #OIDC provider. Outline doesn’t have its own authentication.

Then I discovered #AFFiNE
There is a huge potential hiding behind that weird name. I now have both of them #selfhosted for testing and choosing the one.

Nachdem ich mich bei #SwedishRomance3 anfangs völlig vergaloppiert hatte und nicht so recht wusste, wie ich das beheben soll, habe ich alles eingestampft und eben in unter 2 Stunden eine #Outline für das Manuskript geschrieben, obwohl ich eigentlich Discovery- Writerin bin. Aber jetzt habe ich ein grobes Gerüst, an dem ich mich entlang hangeln kann und stochere nicht so ganz im Nebel.

Nice further cleanup on the example config for #Outline wiki Looks like the authentication service Dex doesn't need a specific storage dir for the Sqlite file (probably using in-memory storage then), therefore could save some lines in config https://nixos.wiki/wiki/Outline
