#Hiking the ridge of a mountain gives nonstop great views. This was my view when I snowshoed up to this ridge last month in the White #Mountains, #NewHampshire. I’ve hiked long sections of this ridge in the past, but only went a short distance this time. So great to be up there! #FootpathFriday #winter #snowshoeing

I took this photo last month at the summit of Little Haystack Mountain, White Mountains, New Hampshire. I had just spent five hours snowshoeing from the base of the mountain to this summit. The mountains seen off in the distance are ones I’ve also hiked in, including Mt Washington the one that is snow-covered and in line with the cairn.

Here is one of the picturesque treats I experienced on my way up to the summit of the mountain yesterday. A gorgeous section of frozen #waterfalls. Most of the 80 feet (24m) tall #waterfall was covered with snow, but this section was not covered, exposing its beauty. #WaterfallWednesday #mountains #hiking

View from White Cliff Overlook off the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway trail which we reached via the Andrew Brook trail. Lake Solitude is just below the view, nestled in the hillside surrounded by trees. In the distance you can see the greenery that is New Hampshire in the Summer just before Fall approaches. Low scattered clouds punctuate a blue sky and a light haze causes the distant hills to slowly disappear in blue gradients.
