I really liked my #Arturia #MicroFreak but I never actually made any music with it--I played around with it endlessly, but I don't think I ever even recorded anything.
So I sold it and used the proceeds for something more practical: a 49-key KeyLab Essential Mk3. It comes with #AnalogLabV so that's awfully nice to play with. Open box unit I got for about 40% off the list new price via Reverb.
Bonus: the cats really dug the box it arrived in.
Just bolted this thing to the side of my bookcase, and it's almost perfect for holding up a Deluge and Microfreak - or others of similar size.

Built like a tank, two thumbs up. Need to find 90deg connectors or make a small wood or similar platform to put under the uFreak to run cables underneath it, but that's easy enough.
(Things aren't plugged in in the first picture, but the second one shows the thing needing addressing.)
I missed almost whole Noisevember thing, but at least I got this one minute of ... something done.

I've finally uploaded a #NewSong to my Soundcloud! A bit of a #Synthwave vibe this time around, and, apart from the drums, all done on the #MicroFreak. Great little machine, that.
Gotta say, the #Arturia #MicroFreak was *already* my favorite synth, and I am just sitting here now in awe of this new update (adds sample playback, 3 granular engines, snappier envelopes and more). I am beginning to think these people can do actual fucking #magic.
It has 210 seconds of sample time! How? I remember seeing people ask for this feature over a year ago and I laughed, thinking there was no way there was enough free ram... I will never doubt again.

To complement the different drum loops, I made a different #bassline for each section of the song, but to mix things up, I used the same #synth, the #Arturia #MicroFreak for all four different bass parts, but with a different preset for each part. (Again, most of those sounds can be found on one of my two #MicroFreakPreset packs at etherdiver.gumroad.com.)

Le Microfreak a reçu une mise-à-jour il y a deux jours, la 2.1.
Ils ont ajouté un vocoder.
Il y avait donc une une entrée micro cachée depuis tout ce temps dans la sortie casque en jack 3,5.
Le nouveau synthétiseur de Arturia semble être une tuerie sonore, pour 300€... Filtre analogique pour oscillateurs numériques et clavier sensitif. C'est spécifique,apparemment bien doté (disruptif?) et c'est clairement de niche...
Un joli concurrent pour le Korg Monologue que j'ai? Pas forcément,mais des machines compactes de folie sont plusieurs,sous 300€.
J'imagine déjà certains préparer la prochaine liste au Père Noël...
